Lela Rose owns summer wedding fashion (PHOTOS)

Bridal Fashion Week is a much anticipated event, not only for all the bridal buyers in the industry, but especially for all the girls getting married in the months following the shows. And because we are always thinking of you, ladies, we made sure to attend one of the most coveted shows every year. Yes, we not only got to attend the presentation of beautiful and ethereal wedding gowns for Lela Rose, but we got a backstage pass to bring you the latest hair, make up, and beauty trends the wedding industry has set for the season.

The Dresses

We were in wedding dress heaven at the Lela Rose presentation. I admit, I even got emotional! There are dresses here for every girl and every style. There’s the sexy look, the sophisticated dress, the dramatic ball gowns, the mermaid dress, there’s lace, there’s regal, there’s glamour, simplicity, but most of all, we would say this collection can be defined with a simple word: Ethereal. See all these amazing wedding gowns below:

Hair Trend

Jennifer Yepez, for Beauty.com, and using the Macadamia Professional hair products,  was responsible for creating the hairstyles for the show. She came up with a beautiful wrapped around braid and bun look, that sets in the back of the head as a blooming flower. As you know from our #NYFW report, braids are the biggest hair trend this season. Lela Rose figured out a romantic way to incorporate it into their bridal look.

To get the look: The hair is split into four parts; two braids are made on top, and two at the bottom. The braids at the bottom are joined together and pinned in as a bun. Then, the two top braids are intertwined and pinned in to join the bottom bun to complete the look. The inspiration for this hair style was a sophisticated, regal, yet simple and modern bride. The result is simply elegant, sweet, and romantic; everything you want from a wedding look! Check out the look below.

Makeup Trend

Romy Soleismami for Beauty.com, was inspired by the gorgeous gowns and the lightness of the warm seasons. He kept the look understated, but impactful, soft and delicate. The makeup artists used nude and soft pink palettes from  IT Cosmetics &WEI Beauty products to complete the look. Soft pink lips, rosy cheeks, and a silver eye line, to highlight and brighten the eyes. This is a look for a fresh, cool and collected bride, who wants to look beautiful on her wedding day with minimal effort.

Nail Trend

Finally, keeping on with the sophistication and fresh look, Gerry Holford for Beauty.com, created a polish and smooth look, using light pink colors from Londontown.
