Tzatziki recipe with fat free yogurt will make your summer gatherings super healthy and also very cool.

With the arrival of summer, you can’t miss outdoor gatherings with friends to enjoy the good weather and excellent company. Whether you organize something at home or go on a picnic with your squad, here is an idea that can save your diet. It is the delicious yogurt dip better known as Tzatziki.

This recipe is traditional within Greek and Turkish cuisine, and it is a very good option if you are trying to stay in shape because it is made with such light ingredients as Greek yogurt, cucumber and lemon juice. It also goes great with vegetable sticks, salads, pitas and souvlakis.

The truth is that it is super refreshing and ideal for the summer. We have already prepared it, and we loved it! Take note of the recipe!

INGREDIENTS

-12 oz. cucumbers, peeled, seeded and cut in quarters (or the equivalent of one and a half long cucumbers)

-1 tsp. salt

-2 cloves garlic

-1 tsp. dill or dill weed

-1/2 oz. olive oil

-12 oz. nonfat Greek yogurt

-1/2 oz. lemon juice

-1/2 tsp. black pepper

PROCEDURE

Place the cucumbers in a food processor and add the salt. Blend until finely chopped. Remove the cucumber and let it drain for 10 minutes.

In the same food processor, add the two garlic cloves, the olive oil, the dill and the lemon juice and puree until the garlic is in very small pieces. Now add the cucumber (make sure it does not have excess water – if so, remove the excess with kitchen paper), the Greek yogurt and the black pepper. Mix together with the chopped garlic and the rest of the ingredients.

Add salt if necessary.

Enjoy with vegetables such as carrots, cucumber, cherry tomatoes or raw broccoli! A real treat!

What do you think of this Tzatziki recipe? Super easy, right?
